2.0 Why is it necessary to specify the packaging of products and how to do it?
In the Categories section, at the company level, you can set the cost of packaging for the whole category at once or for individual menu items. For example, for the category Burgers, one type of package is used with a certain value or ID in the POS system. In order not to put down the cost of packaging in each burger, and also there was no need to include it in the check, for the correct write-off from the balances in the POS system, it is enough to indicate it in the corresponding category or product by default.
It is configured in the Control Panel → Companies → Catalog → Categories → edit → General tab → in the Packaging drop-down list.
At the same time, it remains possible to set the cost of packaging for any product separately. To do this, go to Control Panel → Companies → Catalog → Products → edit → deactivate the checkbox in the Use the default packaging of the category field. After that, a Packaging drop-down list will become available where you can select the cost of packaging for a particular product.
Important! In order to display options for the cost of packaging in the drop-down lists of Packaging and Standard packaging of the category, these options must first be created. You can do this in Control Panel → Cities → Company → Packaging → Add packaging.
In the Packaging section, you create a packaging for a dish and it is set in the settings of the dish itself. You need to uncheck the Standard packaging of the category box. Next, select the package you created. If you have disposable tableware that is ordered separately, then it is recommended to create it as a separate product or category.
