2.0 Control Panel. Editing a City. General
The General tab contains general information about the created city.
Open the Settings section in the Control Panel.
Click the Cities tab.
Click the edit icon next to the desired city.
Click General.
Fill in all the required fields (see below).
Click Save.

Status. City status lets you control the availability of the city and its companies, or temporarily pause incoming orders.
On. Work mode. The city and its companies are available for customers.
Pause. Customers have access to the city webpage, but can’t place orders (when opening the shopping cart page, a warning message will pop up).

Off. The disabled city and its companies are hidden and do not appear to customers.
Soon. The menu of the company is unavailable for customers. The text "Coming Soon" is displayed on the company's card.
Important:
If your service runs in more than one city, the disabled city won’t appear in the city selection menu.
If you disable one of two existing cities, the city selection menu won’t appear.
We highly recommend you to leave at least one city enabled or paused. Otherwise, your customers will see the error message when entering the city webpage.
Hotline number. Appears in the contact block of the website and in the app. This number lets your customers contact you and make orders via phone. Can be specified in any format.

The hotline number appears in the top-right corner of the website.

Operating mode. Dots Platform offers several delivery modes that are available for customers by default. If you experience delivery issues, you can switch the city and all its companies to “Takeaway only” mode. Then, only takeaway will be available when choosing the delivery method.
All delivery types. All delivery methods are available according to the settings.
Takeaway only. Regardless of the settings, only takeaway is available as the delivery method.


Tip: Use “Takeaway only” mode when your courier fleet is overloaded with orders.
Customer notice. It appears to your customers on the website and when they open the app.
Examples
If your address is outside the delivery area, give us a call. We will deliver your order by taxi wherever you want!
Due to quarantine restrictions, doorstep delivery is temporarily unavailable.
Oops… delivery is temporarily unavailable. You can place an order and pick it up at the restaurant by choosing the takeaway option.
