Creating a courier allows you to add a new delivery service courier to the system, whose duties will include the delivery of orders in a specific city. Creating a courier account consists of two stages.


1. Adding a courier and automatically creating a user



Select the Settings section in the Control Panel menu
Click on the edit icon opposite the desired city
Open the section Delivery => Delivery Fleets.
Click the edit icon next to the desired delivery service in the list.
Go to the Couriers tab.
Click the Create button.
Fill in all required fields.
Click Save.





Setup requirements



Call sign The courier's call sign, which will allow you to quickly find him in the system. It is recommended to specify as a number.

Status. Courier status in the system. Changing the status is available only after the courier creation process is complete.

Phone. The phone number of the courier, which will be displayed on the monitoring panel. Automatic calls will be made to this number. This field allows you to enter only one phone number, which is specified in an arbitrary format.

Password. A unique user password that will be used to log in to Dots Delivery. It is filled in free format.

Name. Courier's name and call sign. This name will be displayed in the client program (order status), Monitoring Panel and Dots Business. It should be easy for the customer to read.

Type. The type of courier, which will affect the features of order distribution and delivery distance. Selection options in the field:
Motorist
Bicyclist
Pedestrian

Create a user.
On - when saving the courier in the courier service, create a user linked to the courier.
Off - when saving the courier in the courier service Do not create a user.

The role of the moderator. Select "Delivery Service Courier".

Important! To save your time, activate the toggle. A new user will be created automatically. When creating a courier (instructions above) you did not enable the function Create user automatically, then you need to create a user for this courier manually. Follow the second stage.

2. Creating a new user



Open the Users section of the Control Panel.
Select the Users tab => Users list.
Click the Create button.
Fill in all required fields.
Click Save.





Setup requirements



Phone. Phone number of the courier. It is recommended to specify the same phone number as when creating the courier in the "Delivery Services" section. This field allows you to enter only one phone number, which is specified in an arbitrary format.

Note: This field is mandatory.

Email. The e-mail address of the courier used for authorization in Dots Delivery.

Password. The user's unique password that will be used to log in to Dots Delivery. Filled in free format.

Status. Select "Active".

Nickname. In the field, you can specify the name and call sign of the courier.

Name. The username that will be displayed in all elements of the system. In the field, you can also specify the name and call sign of the courier. Filling in this field is mandatory. It should be easy for the customer to read.

In the fields I agree to the processing and transfer of personal data and Subscription status, the switch must be turned on.

Access level. Select "Moderator".

The role of the moderator. Select "Delivery Service Courier".

Courier of own delivery service. Choose the appropriate delivery service and specify the link to the previously created courier.

Note: The courier is activated on the line by the operator in the Monitoring Panel after the courier in telephone mode warns the operator of the call center about going on a shift.
