1. Set up the Minimum order dispatch time

Set the minimum time for the preparation and packaging of the order, after which the order can be picked up by the courier. This parameter affects the list of available time options, which is displayed upon the order confirmation in the Dots Business app.

To set the Minimum order dispatch time:

In the Control Panel, click Settings → Cities.
Locate the city you need and click the pencil icon.
Click the Delivery → General tab.
In the Minimum order dispatch time field, set the desired time in minutes.
Click Save.

The default value is 15 minutes.

Tip: This parameter can be set at the company level. The larger of the two values will be applied.

2. Set up the Maximum order dispatch time

Set the Maximum order dispatch time for cases when it’s not possible to determine the exact distance to the customer. This delivery time will also be applied to all pre-orders, as in such cases the system can’t analyze road conditions and the courier fleet workload.

To set the Maximum order dispatch time:

In the Control Panel, click Settings → Cities.
Locate the city you need and click the pencil icon.
Click the Delivery → General tab.
In the Maximum order dispatch time field, set the desired time in minutes.
Click Save.

The default value is 20 minutes.

3. Set up the Max. estimated pickup time shift

The maximum time for which the estimated pickup time can be shifted in cases of couriers’ inaccessibility.

To set the Max. estimated pickup time shift:

In the Control Panel, click Settings → Cities.
Locate the city you need and click the pencil icon.
Click the Delivery → General tab.
In the Max. estimated pickup time shift field, set the desired time in minutes.
Click Save.

The default value is 40 minutes.

4. Set up the time correction factor

Set the factor that increases the estimated delivery time.

To set the time correction factor:

In the Control Panel, click Settings → Cities.
Locate the city you need and click the pencil icon.
Click the Delivery → General tab.
In the Time correction factor field, set the factor using the decimal number format.
Click Save.

The default value is 1,25. If there’s no need for additional time, then change the value to 1.

Example
If the time correction factor = 1,2 and the estimated delivery time = 10 minutes, then the total delivery time is 12 minutes (10×1.2=12).

5. Set up the maximum delivery delay time

This parameter sets a delivery time buffer for cases of a delayed pickup or late delivery. This buffer will be added to the estimated delivery time.

To set up the maximum delivery delay time:

In the Control Panel, click Settings → Cities.
Locate the city you need and click the pencil icon.
Click the Delivery → General tab.
In the Maximum delivery delay time field, set the desired time in minutes.
Click Save.

The default value is 5.

Example
If the value = 3 minutes and the estimated delivery time = 10 minutes, then the total delivery time is 13 minutes.

Set up the Order dispatch time in companies.
Select which estimated pick-up time options will be available when accepting a new order in the Dots Business app.

Available options:

No limits. When accepting a new order, the most suitable time will be automatically selected depending on the location of the couriers. Earlier options will also remain available, but will be marked as “not recommended”.

Recommended and later (default option). Only recommended and later time options will be available (considering the couriers’ workload). Earlier time options won’t appear in the drop-down list.

Only ideal and later. Available time options will be displayed starting from the ideal (e.g., when two delivery orders can be merged). Earlier options including recommended won’t appear in the drop-down list.

Important: Selecting this option significantly increases the average delivery time. We recommend using it only in cases of peak loads and a shortage of couriers.
