2.0 How to start and end a shift

Start of the shift

Before starting your shift, you must confirm that you’re ready to accept orders by calling a support operator or a manager (your manager must inform you about the procedure).

After going online, the status indicator in the top bar of the app will change from blue to green.

Important: Before starting a shift, make sure your device has enough battery power for the entire shift. In addition, consider the possibility of charging via a cigarette lighter or an external battery.

Turn on GPS

Before accepting orders, you need to make sure that the GPS works correctly. Location determination is mandatory for receiving orders. If GPS is off, the top bar of the app will be colored red, and you’ll see a dialog box when opening the app. To enable GPS, click Enable GPS, or click OK in the window that appears.

To view your current location, go to Profile > Location.

If you have any problems with locating, do the following:

Go outside if you are indoors or under a canopy.
Turn GPS off and on again.
Open the Google Maps app and confirm the location tracking in the pop-up window.

Once you check that the GPS works correctly and the status indicator has changed to green, you are ready to work with orders.

End of shift

To finish the shift, you must inform an operator or a manager (your manager must inform you about the procedure). After going offline, the status indicator at the top will change from green to blue.

Note: You can finish a shift even if you have an order in progress. In this case, the system will still allow delivering it. Your shift will be automatically finished upon successful delivery.
