Why is it not possible to host a site on a subdomain?
The platform manages a large number of sites and works in such a way that the display of sites can be configured only for a domain. Unfortunately, this cannot be changed.
There are several reasons why we cannot host our service on a subdomain or adjust the algorithms for each partner individually. We are the developers of the platform, which, in turn, automatically manages hundreds of domains, and this logic is configured in such a way that management occurs through the domain.
The idea of deploying a service on a subdomain sounds easy enough, however, since this is a platform and involves managing many systems, services, processes, etc. at the same time, this does not correspond to the logic of our system.
When using the domain, we were also guided by the interests of clients in the SEO promotion of delivery sites, as one of the elements of the platform, which, as practice has shown, can be complicated and indexed worse.
It is possible to agree on the option that the delivery service will be located on the domain, and all the content that the partner wants to display separately will be placed on the subdomain.
